I began weaving through collages as a means to decompress during my time as a PhD student. I discovered that the tactile nature of arranging images and textures allowed me to escape the pressures of academic life, providing a creative outlet that was both therapeutic and fulfilling. By the time I had submitted my PhD, I realised I had created a box of emotions translated into these several pieces and more not uploaded here. I have no intent on naming them nor giving them any apt description. This is exactly how emotionally draining navigating a PhD was for me. I hope you find your own meaning in this work, and hopefully it inspires you to create your box of emotions on those difficult days. Remember, the act of collaging itself can be healing, allowing us to confront and understand our emotions more deeply.
